Privacy Policy

What we collect (almost nothing), the Crowdsignal poll embed, and how click-to-load consent works for every other third-party embed on the site.

The short version: we collect as little as possible. There is no account to create and no newsletter to join, and we do not sell your personal data. This page explains what does happen when you visit.

What we collect

We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to see which pages are read and roughly how the site performs. It does not use tracking cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not follow you across other websites. We only ever see aggregate numbers, never anything that identifies you.

We also use Google Analytics 4 for a more detailed picture of the same thing — which pages people land on and how they move around the site. It is loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz rather than Google's own browser script, so most of it runs at the network edge instead of on your device. It may set first-party analytics identifiers (small cookies scoped to this site only) and shares usage data with Google under Google's privacy policy. We see aggregate reports, never your identity.

Third-party embeds

Our fan poll is served by Crowdsignal (Automattic) and loads with the page on pages that carry it. When it loads, Crowdsignal receives your request and may set its own cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy, the same as if you had opened the poll on Crowdsignal directly. Voting in the poll is optional; the embed itself loads either way.

Other embeds — such as official promo videos from YouTube — do not load automatically. Nothing from those providers runs until you click to load the embed, and that click is your consent. If you never click, no scripts or cookies from them touch your browser.

Advertising

The site does not currently show ads. If we add advertising later, visitors in the EEA and UK will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent tool before any advertising cookies are set, and we will update this page before that goes live.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies. Analytics may set first-party identifiers as described above. Beyond that, the only third-party cookies you might encounter are ones you trigger yourself by loading an embed, as described above.

Your choices and contact

You can browse the whole site without loading a single embed, and your browser settings let you block or clear cookies at any time. Questions about privacy, or a request about your data? Email us via the contact page. See also our terms of use.

Changes

We will update this policy as the site adds features. The date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
